Tliltocatl Albopilosus. Nicaragua.🕷💕🕷
A.k.a, the 'Curly Hair' tarantula is the most common in the hobby and in my opionion, the most underrated too. They are the gateway and hold the title of being the number one in 'beginners' choice. You have to admire all the copper tints that create an opalescent sheen on the carapace and the long curly strands. Can you pronounce 'Tliltocatl'? Many of us struggle and butcher the pronounciations. Try saying, CATLIL-TOE-CATTLE, once you get the hang of that, remove the CA from CATLIL and voila! 'Tliltocatl', you got it!

Temperament: They are a staple for beginners, due to their gentle nature. Can be skittish when disturb, but hardly show any aggression unless they are hungry and this is most likely a feeding response. The worst that you can expect, is a bit of hair flicking.
The name is comprised of 'Nahuatl' words. 'Tlil', which means 'black' and, 'Tocatl', means 'spider'. Albopilosus is derived from the word, 'albopilosa' and this is comprised of three words. Masculine, white and hairy.
